Things that we will be covering:
★ How to Audition for Film & TV
As an actor you alone are responsible for your own success. No matter how talented you are, you need to know how to audition well. I will address the day-to-day business side of acting. You will learn what it takes to be a working actor.
★ How to breakdown a scene for an audition
You must create a performance for the casting director without props, sets, other actors (etc). Auditioning is a skill; the more you practise, the more confident you become.
★ Casting Room Etiquette
The difference between a pre-read vs. a producer session. It’s your time in the room, use it well.
★ Acting on camera
Learn how to tailor your audition for when it’s cast off of tape and A LOT of auditions now are ‘self tape’ submissions.
★ Cultivating a career
Know the genre you are auditioning for and learn how to approach the audition for each different type (e.g Comedy vs. Drama, Film vs. TV).
